The Foodie Friday Cafe

Welcome to Foodie Friday.
If you've got a food blog, chances are you take photographs of your dishes. You probably spend your time chasing daylight--specifically the white light that falls from morning until mid-day. But it's elusive during the drab days of winter. All of the famous foodies advise us to avoid  using the flash on our cameras...but my husband works long hours. I can't cook an entree at noon and refrigerate it for hours and hours. (I might food poison the poor guy.)

This weekend, time and light collided. My husband was home all day, and he was hungry. So I set the table and made an asparagus tart. You can find the recipe HERE.

I thought about all of you this weekend. Every week, over one hundred talented cooks add their recipes to Foodie Friday. You make it look so easy, but I know that each foodie post takes time, dedication, and hard work. Last week, 125 recipes were contributed to Foodie Friday, and each one could give Paula Deen a run for her money!

I'm happy to introduce a new series--The Foodie Friday Cafe.
Each Sunday, Rattlebridge Farm
will spotlight contributions from the previous Foodie Friday.
I can't wait to see what you've cooked up this week.

I hope you'll join us this Sunday, February 19th, at the cafe.

Here are just a few stellar offerings from the last Foodie Friday:
Red velvet parfaits (and more) from Home is Where the Boat is.

Roasted tomato and fennel soup from The Chickpea Chickadee.

I've always been afraid to make challah, but after looking at the step-by-step instructions at Elsa Cooks, I've changed my mind. Challah will soon be on the menu at Rattlebridge Farm.

These sweet macaroons were artfully displayed at U Try It.

Who could resist these heart-shaped goodies at The Gazebo House!

Just Call Me Maria knows how to make comfort desserts.

This sweet carrot soup looks heartwarming at Let Birdz Fly.

If the words "red velvet" are in a recipe, I get excited.
I loved these waffles at Hun...What's For Dinner.

Aren't these the cutest red velvet whoopie pies?
They were baked with love by Misadventures of Mrs. B.

Cuisine Kathleen is a veteran participant at Foodie Friday,
and her recipes and tablescapes are a joy to behold.

Lulu's Musing baked a Southern classic--a lemon-filled coconut cake.

If you are trying to diet, and you can't find low-cal dishes, Debbi Does Dinner Healthy has hundreds of recipes. These sandwiches were made in a slow-cooker.
This isn't dieting--it's living a healthy lifestyle.

What could be better than milk and red velvet cookies? Alli N Son has the recipe.

Sidewalk Shoes made seared salmon with sesame bok choy and spinach.

These vibrant cookies would be perfect for Memorial Day and July 4th. You can find the recipe at Red Couch Recipes.

Thank you so much for stopping by Foodie Friday today. Your inspirational recipes make this day so much fun!

This week, please leave a comment and describe your recipe--what made you want to cook it? Would you recommend it for a party? Tell us ALL about it!

Be sure to check out the menu at the Foodie Friday Cafe
this Sunday, February 19th.
Pictures will be chosen from the from contributions to this week's Foodie Friday.
