Foodie Friday -- December 14

Welcome to the December 14th Foodie Friday.
Are your days racing away? Or do you have the holidays under control?
Sometimes I think Rudolph and the other reindeer have attached the whole month of December to the back of Santa's sleigh, and that's why time seems to be flying.

Today I stood in front of the bakery case at Publix and pondered the speed of Christmas. Then I happened to notice that a chocolate cake had been reduced half-price (the cherry-on-top had gotten smashed; hence the discount).

I bought the cake, garnished the top with pink roses, and suddenly time seemed to slow down.

Chocolate has a way of calming the holiday frenzies, doesn't it?

So, how is your menu shaping up?
Are you cooking a traditional meal
or something new and different?

If you haven't planned your menu, you'll find plenty of inspiration here at Foodie Friday.

This week's Spotlight was difficult--everything looked delicious. Grab a cup of eggnog and a slice of the rosy chocolate cake, and let's take a little foodie trip. Let's start with appetizers and tablescapes, then move to the main course, side dishes,

Just leave a comment and vote yes or no.

If you'd like to enter your recipe/photo,
just leave a comment. Photos will be selected by Rattlebridge's Foodie Guys. One guy likes tutorials and neat pics;
the other one likes everything.

Thanks so much for reading and visiting. I can't wait to see what you've cooked up this week. Have a great time visiting the blogs that have contributed recipes.

If you'd like to add your recipe to the Foodie Friday linky party, locate the blue Inlinkz frog (below). Add your permalink and select an image. It may take a few seconds for the entry to process. A red X on your photo allows you to delete your entry if you make an error. The Foodie Friday badge is located on the right-hand sidebar if you wish to add it to your FF post.
If this is your first time to participate in Foodie Friday, a tutorial is available.
