Foodie Friday -- December 28th

Welcome to the December 28th Foodie Friday.
As we move into the new year, Rattlebridge is still in the grip of illness. We've been living on soup and ginger ale, so I haven't taken any photos this week. I began to panic. Luckily I found a few entrancing photos on Houzz.

If it's warm in your neck of the woods, you might be thinking of celebrating New Year's eve with an outdoor party. I love the woodsy, tartan ideas in this tablescape:

A turquoise table looks fresh and inviting in this wintery backyard.

Another idea for warmer areas.

If the weather is icy, you can add sparkle to your New Year's table:

I managed to find a photo in my files--dinner for two at our farm.

Thanks to everyone who left comments about Foodie Friday's new format. Many of you loved the idea of a weekly "showstopper," along with highlights of the previous week. I do, too. The categories will vary according to your recipes. For example, this week offers "Dog Treats" and "Homekeeping Tips."

Let's begin with our
Showstopper!

Mary, the author of Home Is Where the Boat Is, knows good food and great presentation. Her posts always make me happy. Visit her blog to discover the secret ingredient that goes into the mayonnaise dip for her Parmesan Crusted Crab Bites.

For more great recipes and ideas,
check out last week's Foodie Friday.

I can't wait to see what you've cooked up this week. Have a great time visiting the blogs that have contributed recipes. If you'd like to add your recipe to the Foodie Friday linky party, locate the blue Inlinkz frog (below). Add your permalink and select an image. It may take a few seconds for the entry to process. A red X on your photo allows you to delete your entry if you make an error. The Foodie Friday badge is located on the right-hand sidebar if you wish to add it to your FF post. If this is your first time to participate in Foodie Friday, a tutorial is available.

The next time we meet, it will be 2013! Happy New Year!
